Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how ATTEX AB uses cookies and similar technologies on our two websites: attexdata.ai, our business site, and attexpanel.com, where panelists apply and find installation guides. It covers those websites only. The ATTEX panel application itself — the phone app and the desktop extension that carry out the measurement — is governed by the Panel Privacy Notice, which is a separate document.

The two sites do not carry the same technologies. Advertising measurement runs on attexpanel.com only, because that is where our recruitment ads lead. Visitors to attexdata.ai are not measured for advertising purposes.

attexpanel.com — always

• —attex-geo — a functional cookie holding the two-letter country your request arrived from, so the page can open in your language instead of guessing. Expires after 30 days.
• —attex-consent — stored in your browser (localStorage), not as a cookie: whether you accepted or declined the Meta pixel in our cookie banner, and when. We keep it for 12 months and then ask again.
• —Language and progress stored in your browser (localStorage), not as cookies: your chosen site language, and — if you apply for the desktop panel — the email address you entered, so the installation guide can prefill it. This stays in your browser and is not read by our servers.

attexpanel.com — only if you accept

• —_fbp — set by the Meta pixel, which we use to see which of our recruitment ads bring people to the panel site and which applications follow from them. First-party, expires after about 90 days.
• —_fbc — set by the Meta pixel only when you arrive by clicking one of our Meta ads, to connect the visit to that click. First-party, expires after about 90 days.
• —The Meta pixel also stores the address of the page that referred you (lastExternalReferrer) in your browser.

We do not send Meta your email address, name, postal address or phone number, and we do not use the hashed-identifier matching that would allow an applicant to be recognised individually. The pixel is told which panel was joined, which market and which language — nothing that identifies you.

attexpanel.com — only if you open the chat

The chat button at the bottom of attexpanel.com is our own. Nothing from Crisp, the company that provides the chat, is loaded while the button sits there: no script, no cookie, no browser storage, and no request that would tell Crisp you visited. That happens when you open the chat, and only from that moment on.

• —crisp-client/session — a first-party cookie, mirrored in your browser storage, that identifies your conversation so you see our reply when you come back and do not have to explain yourself twice. Set when you open the chat, kept for 30 days, and set for attexpanel.com only.
• —crisp-client/… — a few more entries of the same kind holding the state of the chat window: whether it is open, which messages you have seen, and a message you started writing but have not sent.
• —Your messages, and the name or email address you give us, so that we can answer you — in the chat while you are here, or by email if you leave before we reply.
• —Technical details Crisp records with the conversation: your browser and operating system, your language, the page you wrote from, and the approximate location your IP address points to.

Crisp is a European provider and keeps the conversation on servers in the EU on our behalf. We keep chat conversations for a maximum of 12 months. Please do not send sensitive information or passwords in the chat. What we do with the messages is described in the Panel Privacy Notice.

We do not run Google Analytics, TikTok measurement, or any other third-party analytics on either site. Apart from the Meta pixel, the only other third party that can load on attexpanel.com is the chat above, and only once you open it. attexdata.ai carries none of them: no advertising, no analytics and no chat.

On attexpanel.com we ask before the Meta pixel starts. Until you choose Accept in the cookie banner, nothing is sent to Meta and no Meta cookie is set. Declining has no effect on your panel membership, your rewards or your use of the site. You can change your choice at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of the page on attexpanel.com; if you decline after accepting, we remove the Meta cookies from the site. The chat is not part of that choice, because it is not loaded until you open it: leaving the button alone is the same as declining. attexdata.ai runs no advertising, analytics or chat tools and shows no banner. Whatever you choose, you can also:

• —Block third-party scripts with a content blocker or a privacy-focused browser. This stops the Meta pixel from loading at all.
• —Delete or block cookies for attexpanel.com in your browser settings. Consult your browser's help pages for instructions.
• —Adjust how Meta uses activity from other websites in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Off-Facebook activity and Ad preferences.
• —Clear what the chat left behind: closing the chat window does not remove it. Delete the site data for attexpanel.com in your browser settings, which clears the crisp-client entries along with your language and any saved application email. The conversation itself stays with us until we delete it on the 12-month schedule — write to panel@attexdata.ai if you want it removed sooner.

Declining or blocking the pixel means we cannot tell which ad brought you here. It has no other consequence for you.

We update this policy when what we set changes. The current version is always available at attexdata.ai/cookie-policy and attexpanel.com/cookie-policy.
